So if there are two children of the same mother and different fathers, then they will not be developmentally the same. Even siblings with the same father will not be developmentally the same.

Each cell in our bodies contains 46 chromosomes (23 Sperm and 23 Egg) 46 new offspring. Reproduction cells are different from the other body cells. These reproductive cells have only 23, or paired chromosomes. When the sperm and egg come together pregnancy begins. An extra chromosome or missing chromosome creates problems in fetal development.

The development from 2 tiny cells to a fully formed baby is a fascinating story.
